As the African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship progresses in Cairo, Egypt, Kalibi Sporting Club has proven to be a formidable force, making the Upper West Region and all of Ghana proud. As the sole Ghanaian representative and a first-time entrant, the club has officially secured its place in the round of 16, marking a historic milestone for the team.

Opener with Kenya Pipeline saw a 0 – 3 loss for the team, while day two gave them a first win against the Sococim team from Senegal, 3 – 0. The third game saw another win, beating Gender Light of Burundi 3 – 0, and another 3 – 0 win against VC La Loi of DR Congo.
Despite a tough opening loss to the experienced Kenya Pipeline (25-19, 25-21, 25-13), Kalibi quickly found its rhythm, securing three consecutive straight-set victories.
Following their opener, the team has not dropped a single set, showcasing exceptional coordination and tactical discipline.
