Mufti Borejinkpr Urges Youth and Leaders to Prioritise Collective Development

The Secretary of the Gonjaland Youth Association (GLYA), Mufti Borejinkpr Habibu Muftawu, has called on the people of Gonjaland to put aside personal interests and work together for the region’s development.
In an exclusive interview with Ishmael Junourgh, the GLYA Secretary urged Gonja youth to strive for excellence in their endeavours, saying such efforts would help restore the greatness of Gonjaland.
“Gonja should inspire Gonja,” he stated. “We must encourage each other to seek knowledge, work hard, and strive for prosperity that benefits not just individuals but the entire community.”

Mufti Borejinkpr noted that many challenges in the region require collective effort. He warned that disunity and personal rivalries weaken the strength needed for progress.

He urged leaders—traditional, political, and youth alike—to avoid personalizing issues and focus on initiatives that advance the welfare of Gonjaland.
“Leadership must rise above personal grievances,” he emphasised. “Maturity, patience, and a focus on community welfare are essential for meaningful progress.”
The GLYA Secretary expressed optimism that unity, education, and a strong work ethic would lead to long-term development for the region.
“When we stand together, our land becomes stronger and more prosperous. The future of Gonjaland depends on the choices we make today”.
