The Best Staff of the Upper West Regional Hospital, Mr. Reagan Agyekum has expressed satisfaction with the management’s decision to reward his hard work in the facility.
Mr. Agyakum before 2019, worked at the Kundugu Health post in the Wa East District.
Speaking to the media last Tuesday, Agyakum said he least expected to have emerged as the best worker at the facility. He was amazed by the applause that followed his recognition at the gathering for cheering him up and therefore pledged to do more for the facility.
He however said aside from his job other ways he engaged patients was to keep them entertained by way of jokes which his colleagues equally other relatives of the patients.
Mr. Reagan however expressed worry over relatives coming to visit patients at odd hours which sometimes causes confrontations at the regional hospital as he called on the facility to be strict with the visiting hour rule.
He also edged his fellow nurses to be more tolerant and mindful of how they treat patients at the facility despite the difficulties some patients and their relatives may put them through.
Mr. Agyakum received an Apsonic Aloba motorbike, a Certificate, and a special package of Ghc2,000 from the Upper Regional Minister, dr. Hafiz Bin Salih.
Other 43 people received other awards at the ceremony the hospital held on the 13th of January this year.
