In a strategic move to strengthen the partnership between the private sector and law enforcement, Maxwel Maakuu, CEO of the e-commerce giant Dakuleda.com, has presented a significant donation of food items to the Regional Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service.
The donation, which included bags of sugar and cartons of milk, was aimed at supporting officers within the MTTD who are currently observing the holy month of Ramadan. During the presentation, the CEO emphasised that the company’s success is intrinsically linked to the peace and security maintained by the police.

“We cannot share our benevolence while ignoring the MTTD for the good work they have been doing for the region,” Mr Maakuu stated.
Beyond the seasonal support, the gesture served as formal recognition of the MTTD’s role in facilitating a safe business environment in the Upper West Region. The CEO highlighted that the department’s continuous guidance and traffic management are vital to the logistical operations of businesses like Dakuleda.com.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Regional Police Commander, ASP Alhaji Iddi Ziblim expressed profound gratitude for the gesture. He emphasised that the timing of the donation was perfect, as fasting is a fundamental pillar of Islam that is mandatory for all healthy Muslims.
We are most grateful… fasting is one of the cardinal points of Islam, which every Muslim, provided you are not sick, is a must
“We are most grateful… fasting is one of the cardinal points of Islam, which every Muslim, provided you are not sick, is a must,” the Director remarked. He further noted that the spirit of the donation reflects Islamic teachings of sharing with all neighbours, regardless of their religious background.

The contribution stands as a testament to the department’s role in ensuring a stable environment for commerce in the Upper West Region. Mr. Maakuu reiterated that the expert traffic coordination provided by the MTTD remains a cornerstone for the efficient delivery and logistical success of local enterprises.
Earlier in the day, the e-commerce platform also called on the Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Osman Mahama Kanihi, with a kind donation of bottled water, bags of sugar, and a sleeping mattress to support the office during the Holy month of Ramadan.

The gesture was coordinated by the CEO of BAHAS Foundation, Chairman Baba Illiasu, who requested the Chief Imam to remember Dakuleda.com in his prayers. The donations were accepted by a team of clerics from the office of the Regional Chief Imam, who described the items as “timely” and offered several prayers for the company’s continued prosperity.

Dakuleda.com is a leading business-to-customer e-commerce platform in Ghana, specialising in the sale of automobiles, motorbikes, home appliances, and mattresses. Under the leadership of Maxwel Maakuu, the company has become a household name in the Upper West Region, known for its “buy never buy” (timeless quality) philosophy and its unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility.
