Nandom, Upper West Region — Mr Alois K. K. Mohl, a Social Development Consultant and former Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Social Investment Fund (SIF), has spent the 2025 Christmas with the king makers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) across the Constituency and also supported vulnerable persons.
The two-day exercise, held on Friday and Saturday, December 26 and 27, saw Mr Mohl visit all 88 polling stations across the 25 electoral areas in the constituency.
During the visits, he interacted with what he described as the kingmakers of the NPP, including polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency executives (former and current), former government appointees, patrons, and members of the council of elders.
As part of the Christmas activities, Mr Mohl distributed 5kg bags of rice to party executives and extended similar support to the aged, widows, widowers, and other vulnerable members of the constituency.
He also invited party members and residents to recommend needy widows and widowers within their communities, with the appeal that beneficiaries should not be close family relations.
Describing the exercise as “humbling and exciting,” Mr Mohl noted that the gesture was aimed at sharing love during the festive season and strengthening bonds with grassroots party members and constituents.
Beyond the humanitarian support, Mr Mohl used the opportunity to rally support for Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer election scheduled for January 31, 2026.
According to him, Dr Bawumia remains the party’s “surest bet” for victory in the 2028 general elections.
Mr Mohl has been undertaking similar Christmas support activities in the Nandom Constituency since 2019, with exceptions in 2020 and 2024, which were election years.
Residents and party members who interacted with him during the tour commended the initiative, describing it as a demonstration of consistent grassroots engagement and commitment to social support within the constituency
