Following a decisive victory in the 2024 General Elections, the Member of Parliament for the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa (DBI) constituency, Hon. Dr Sebastian Ngmenenso Sandaare, has officially commenced a constituency-wide “Thank You Tour.”

The tour, which kicked off yesterday, is designed to show appreciation to the electorate for their overwhelming support of both Dr Sandaare and President John Dramani Mahama.

The tour began with stops at Kamehagu and Bussie, where the MP and his entourage paid a courtesy call to the Paramount Chief of Bussie, Naa Nyelee Bachor Pius I.

During the visit, the Paramount Chief took the opportunity to remind the government of President Mahama’s prior commitment to establishing a Senior High School in Bussie, a vital project for the youth of the area.

The atmosphere shifted to one of celebration at the Bussie Market Square. The entourage was greeted by the rhythmic clapping and soulful melodies of local women, who chanted songs of praise and welcome as the MP arrived.

Accompanying the MP was the DCE for DBI, Hon. James Wor, who reassured residents of the government’s dedication to grassroots development. He highlighted the ambitious 24-hour Economy Market project as a transformative “big win” for the district.

The proposed market complex is set to include over 300 shops, stalls, and warehouses and an integrated animal market and slaughterhouse. Ancillary facilities, including schools and an urban clinic, will not be left out.

Dr Sandaare reaffirmed his “unflinching support” for the people of Bussie, pledging to continue his long-standing track record of service. Specifically, he promised Naa Nyelee Bachor Pius I that he would collaborate closely with the Ghana Health Service to give the Bussie Market CHPS compound a much-needed facelift.

The tour also emphasised the importance of community-led growth as the MP joined the Balegnia Youth Association Homecoming, where a community-initiated Kindergarten block was officially handed over to the Ghana Education Service.

At the final stop of the day, Dr Sandaare addressed concerns regarding local infrastructure at Dagubaa, assured to support the construction of the roads leading to the place using the DRIP machines.

The “Thank You Tour” continues today in the Fian Zone of the constituency. The tour is expected across the constituency this week as the MP seeks to strengthen ties with his constituents and outline the developmental roadmap for his new term.
