The School of Law at the Simon Diedong University for Business and Integrated Development Studies in the Upper West region have sworn into office executives for the Ghana Law Students Union.
In a brief ceremony held at the Upper West Hall of the University, the executives took the oath of office under the stewardship of the union’s patron, who happened to be the Upper West regional State Attorney, Saaed Abdul Shakur.
Lydia Faith Esquire, the HOD of the School of Law, called on the executives to strive for greatness as being elected executives didn’t have to compromise their intentions for being in school.

She said ‘Leadership is about service, it’s not about the titles and all that,” adding that “the reason why you are here is to get good grades and nothing but excel in your academic field. She pleaded with the executives to balance their academics with their leadership duties.
Dagua Nerous, the newly elected President of the union, assured his colleagues of an open-door policy where the students’ interests would be his priority and called for unity.
He also urged authorities not to see their quest for better student conditions as a threat to their authority.
